Speech Therapy Can Help If Your Child…

Understands everything but isn’t talking yet

We work with you to teach your toddler (as young as 12 months) how to begin communicating through play. We’ll teach you how to help them begin imitating and saying their first words. We also assist with early intervention speech therapy.

is learning more than one language, but is not talking yet

We work with children who are bilingual or multilingual to help them expand their vocabulary and sentence length in the language or languages that are easiest for them. Our bilingual speech therapist, Megan, speaks English and Spanish and is experienced in providing bilingual speech therapy.

is diagnosed with autism

We provide personalized, strengths-based therapy for autistic children by using their interests to guide meaningful progress. Trained in Gestalt Language Processing, we support children who use echolalia and empower families with practical strategies to nurture communication during everyday routines.

Communicates in ways other than words

Every child communicates in their own way, and we celebrate their individuality. Our approach focuses on meeting your child where they are, building on their strengths to support meaningful connections and self-expression - whether through gestures, sounds, words, or other forms of communication.

Has difficulty being understood by others

When children have great ideas but others don’t always understand them, it can impact their confidence and connection with others. Speech therapy helps make their communication clearer while honoring their unique voice and strengths.

uses short sentences for their age

Your speech language pathologist will work with you and your child to help improve their vocabulary, grammar and sentence structure. We use fun and interactive activities during our online therapy sessions to keep your child engaged while they enhance their communication.

What’s Our Process?

Initial Consultation

You start the process with a complimentary 15-minute initial consultation via phone or videoconference. During this time, you can ask any questions about our therapy process, and we’ll get you set up with all the information you need to begin. We’ll also discuss your child’s unique needs and how we can tailor our approach to best support their growth and development.

Evaluation

During the evaluation, your child will participate in fun, engaging activities that help us understand their communication strengths and needs. After the evaluation, we will provide you with a comprehensive report, a personalized plan of care, and specific recommendations for therapy. This plan will guide our work together to support your child’s growth and development.

Begin Therapy: Speech & DIR Floortime

After the evaluation, you can begin services tailored to your child’s specific needs. Speech therapy is available in 30–60 minute sessions, scheduled 1–2 times per week, while DIR/Floortime is provided in-home for 2–4 hours per day, 3–5 days per week, emphasizing meaningful, relationship-based interactions and developmental progress.

Practice Between Sessions

We know you’re busy, so we make this process simple, flexible, and supportive. Our approach gives you practical, easy-to-use strategies for both speech therapy and DIR/Floortime, tailored to your child’s unique needs. Coaching is built into every session so you can practice techniques together, ask questions, and gain confidence applying them during everyday routines.

Meet Our Owner

I’m the founder and owner of Little Fish Speech Therapy, LLC. I was inspired to create this company after a few years of providing bilingual speech therapy online with an emphasis on parent coaching. While delivering online speech therapy, I was amazed at the progress my clients made, especially when their parents implemented strategies they learned during therapy sessions into their daily routines. I’ll be with you every step of the way during your online speech therapy journey, from your initial consultation call to discharge.

Our mission at Little Fish Speech Therapy is to provide personalized speech and language therapy services to help children maximize their communication potential and to coach parents to support their child’s speech and language goals at home. We aim to support parents and their children through the entire therapy process by making the process simple, stress-free, and enjoyable for the whole family. We specialize in working with bilingual children, autistic children, and late talkers. All of our services are provided online so you can participate in your own home and be an active participant in your child’s therapy.
